Canada, Local 279 (AFM) and Rogers Television, London Cable
13.
Dear Sir
and Madam:
This is
to inform you that the Tribunal has received the reply from
the London Musicians' Association dated October 1, 2003. We
will be in contact with the parties shortly in order to schedule
an oral hearing in this matter.
I wish
to further inform you that, in the event the parties resume
bargaining and encounter difficulties in the process, the
Minister of Labour may, pursuant to section 45 of the Status
of the Artist Act, appoint a mediator to assist the parties
in entering into a scale agreement. Please note that a request
for mediation must be addressed by one or both parties directly
to the Minister.
Please
do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions.
Sincerely,

Francois
