RE: NOTICE TO BARGAIN
Dear Mr. Jackson:
In accordance with Section 31 of the Status of the Artist
Act, S.C. 1992, c.33, we hereby officially give notice that
the undersigned, Local 279 of the American Federation of Musicians
of the United States and Canada (AFM), wish to enter into
negotiations with Rogers Television London for the purpose
of establishing a scale agreement covering the artists we
represent.
Included herewith you will find a copy of the Certification
granted to the AFM by the Canadian Artists and Producers Relations
Tribunal (CAPPRT) and a copy of a letter from AFM to Local
279 authorizing the Local to act on its behalf.
Would you please respond in writing within fourteen (14) days
of the above date indicating your willingness to enter into
negotiations. Upon receipt of such letter, we will contact
you by telephone to arrange mutually agreeable dates to meet.
